The path forward: A message from Mark Redsten, Clean Wisconsin President & CEO

There is no question a long list of important federal environmental protections and programs will be targeted during the next presidential administration. People are understandably feeling powerless, fearful of what this will mean for the places we love—the clean air, clean water and healthy climate we all rely on. We worry what it will mean for our families, our communities, and for the future of this planet.

Know this. We are prepared to navigate both the challenges and the opportunities ahead—and there will be plenty of both. By collaborating with farmers, legislators, and local communities, Clean Wisconsin will continue to push forward policies and solutions that safeguard Wisconsin’s natural resources, build resilient communities, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Our environmental health research initiative has the potential to inspire broad-based reform. By understanding and addressing environmental factors that harm health, we are laying the groundwork for changes that resonate across the political spectrum. Our goal is to build support for policies that acknowledge the connection between a healthy environment and public health, ultimately advancing reforms that benefit everyone, regardless of where they live.

Now is the time to stand together and demand a clean, safe environment. At Clean Wisconsin, our mission is clear—to ensure a healthy future for every community by fighting climate change and toxic pollution in our air, water and land. We will remain vigilant and adaptable, ready to respond to shifts in the policy and regulatory landscape. Our commitment to sound science, community collaboration, clear communication, and meaningful advocacy will continue to guide us.
