As Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Matt works to ensure there is broad engagement in an initiative to update the building codes in Wisconsin.
Prior to joining Clean Wisconsin, Matt served as participatory budgeting manager at the City of Evanston, Illinois. While in that role, he led a program that built a large coalition of community member organizations and had one of the highest voter turnout rates of any participatory budgeting process in the United States. He also previously worked as a research assistant at the Kettering Foundation where he supported research on topics such as local government, political polarization, deliberative politics, and public engagement.
Matt holds a Master’s of Public Administration and Policy from American University and a B.A. in Communication Studies with a double minor in Religion and Scandinavian Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College.
