As Local Partnerships Manager, Kaysee fosters meaningful relationships with local, place-based partners and organizations across the state to expand our collective strength in advocacy, outreach and information sharing on clean water, sustainable agriculture and renewable energy development. She works closely with our Rural Energy Campaign Manager to build community support for renewable energy and helps manage our Farmers for Solar Initiative.
Prior to being Local Partnerships Manager, Kaysee was Office Manager at Clean Wisconsin for a number of years. During that time she also worked as Program Manager for the Wisconsin Local Government Climate Coalition which provides a platform for members to collaborate on overcoming barriers to decarbonization and accelerating local climate change solutions in their communities. In this role, she supported the local government members by producing resources, coordinating educational opportunities, managing communications, supporting advocacy efforts, and providing general organizational support.
Previously, Kaysee served as a Legislative Assistant to State Senator Patty Schachtner and held internships at other environmental organizations, including REAP Food Group in Madison, Wisconsin and The Rediscovery Centre in Dublin, Ireland. Kaysee earned her B.S. in Economics with minors in Sustainable Business and Environmental Studies from UW–La Crosse. Originally from Southeast Minnesota, Kaysee grew up visiting family in Wisconsin and developed her love for nature from spending time on her grandma’s farm in Pepin, Wisconsin.
Favorite things to do outdoors in Wisconsin: Hiking the bluffs of the Driftless Region, kayaking on the Wisconsin River, and discovering new places to camp with friends and family.
