We Energies is proposing to double the size of the current outdoor coal storage pile that feeds its Oak Creek Power Plant.
And despite concerns from people like you about blowing coal dust and a potential increase in particle matter emissions, tiny particles that can get in the air and lodge in people’s lungs, We Energies has not proposed any changes to limit the amount of coal dust blowing off the expanded pile.
If you’re concerned about the air you’re breathing or the health of you and your family, we hope you can attend a public hearing with the DNR on this issue Thursday!
