Wisconsin communities across the state need your help. PFAS, dangerous forever chemicals, are turning up at alarming levels and only limited testing has been done. It’s clear PFAS pollution poses significant threats to public health, and communities that suddenly find themselves in need of safe drinking water deserve a state government equipped to help them.
With a historic budget surplus, Wisconsin must invest some of these resources in helping communities plagued by PFAS pollution. PFAS are a threat to public health even in small quantities, and right now we don’t even know the full range of communities and families at risk because more testing needs to be done. Please join us in supporting Governor Evers’ full $106 million budget request for municipal grants, testing resources, and key state agency staff to assist communities struggling with PFAS contamination.
