A note from Clean Wisconsin: Our environment connects us all

, By Mark Redsten

As wildfires continue to devastate Los Angeles, our hearts go out to the thousands of families who have lost their homes and to the hundreds of thousands more impacted by toxic smoke and ash blanketing the area. These fires are a sobering reminder that our environment connects us all. We have long known that the climate crisis is here, and we are witnessing the tragic impacts in real time. Climate disasters know no state or national boundaries—taking on this crisis demands urgent, collective action.

As we close the chapter on 2024, the hottest year on record, we begin 2025 with this heartbreaking call to action. At Clean Wisconsin, we are committed to fighting for bold climate action to cut carbon pollution, transition to clean energy, and protect the air, water, and land we all share. We invite you to stand with us in support of the people of Los Angeles and take part in the critical work of protecting our environment. Join our Action Network to be notified about ways you can advocate for meaningful climate action.
