Rick Coelho

Rick is an experienced organizer and campaign strategist with experience working on political campaigns in diverse communities at the local, state, and federal levels. As Rural Energy Campaign Manager, he’ll use that experience to connect with rural communities to build trust among those who might be skeptical about the clean energy transition. He has experience leading internal teams in strategic planning and execution and working with external stakeholders to achieve goal and resource alignment. Most recently with the Assembly Democratic Campaign Committee (ADCC), Rick managed a very diverse array of internal and external stakeholders, each with their unique goals, resources, and styles.

Rick brings a deep appreciation for the human relationships at the heart of successful collaboration. As an organizer, he worked with individuals to take action in their communities. As a fundraiser, he tapped into people’s passion for a cause. As a campaign leader, he inspired teams and brought attention to issues through effective communication.

Rick has performed academic work in policy analysis, working to synthesize an array of information into understandable and actionable communications. He also taught complex theories of social policy. His technical skills include quantitative data analysis and GIS.

Rick sees his position with Clean Wisconsin’s rural energy campaign as an opportunity to work on the core issues necessary to save the planet.
