Our dedicated staff of experts conducts sound science, shapes public policy, takes legal action, and works with impacted communities to find solutions to today’s biggest environmental challenges.

Calgary-based Enbridge, Inc. is seeking permits from the Department of Natural Resources that would allow the company to reroute Line 5 across dozens of northern Wisconsin waterways and more than 100 acres of wetlands. The proposed route is upstream of Copper Falls State Park and poses a huge risk to the Bad River watershed. Learn More

Together, the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law are bringing billions of dollars into Wisconsin to clean up pollution,
protect farms, create clean energy jobs and help families save money on their energy bills. Learn More

The Vista Sands Solar Farm project proposed in Portage County will generate $6.5 million annually for local communities, create new jobs and provide native pollinator habitat. Learn More

Alliant Energy and We Energies’ parent company, WEC Energy Group, are rushing to push expensive fossil fuel infrastructure through the Public Service Commission approval process before the tide turns toward clean energy sources like wind and solar. Learn More

Clean Wisconsin is leading the way in advocating for meaningful state standards and comprehensive testing and cleanup of harmful PFAS “forever chemicals.” These chemicals have been found in drinking water and lakes and streams across Wisconsin. Learn More

Clean Wisconsin has filed suit to stop a new 625-megawatt gas plant from being built along the Nemadji River in Superior. The plant would add 3-million tons of carbon pollution into the environment each year, pushing us even further from our climate goals and harming the health of people who live nearby. Its construction would destroy 20 acres of wetlands. Learn More

Uplands Wind will provide clean energy, economic benefits, and jobs that move Wisconsin forward. Energy from the project will connect to the electric grid and help diversify Wisconsin’s energy supply.
